Talking us for a walk down the famous Portobello Road in West London, Incisive and Shakka introduce us to the brighter side of life with this vibrant fun fused track and video enticing us all to get into the groove....
Taken from Incisive's self titled debut album, This Groove is digitally released on 26th March 2012
I've admittedly been slacking on the blogging recently, but that never means my ear isn't still firmly against the ground with eyes wide open on the look out for something fresh and new... While I've apparently been lurking in the shadows, there have been some remixes that I'm appreciating for the twist of creativity that has been used with them, showing a strong flare of innovation for both pieces of work I am referring to...
First exhibit comes from within the My-ish camp by Incisive. Using Wretch 32's previous top 10 hit single Traktor, Incisive & Shakka have twisted it around and made it into a song they can call their own.
Have a listen...
Another exerting her abilities is songstress A.L. who has definitely gone from strength to strength throughout 2011 to leave a mark that won't be easily forgotten. Taking I'm A Boss from US Hip-Hop superstars Meek Mill and Rick Ross, the track has been flipped on it's head to give it a more easy listening jazz aura.
Check it out...
Any aspiring musicians definitely need to take note from these two... What I mean by that is just about anybody can get a backing track and write quirky new lyrics, but a true musician is able to take a great composition and make it their own without destroying the memory of the original.... Salutes!
Antony on the Beat featuring GT Solo & Ianna Harvey
Once again I'm blown away by the potential possessed by Antony on the Beat (AOB). The diversity within the productions I've heard thus far show that his talent is too valuable to be boxed into any particular genre. In addition, I can see some beautiful collaborations happening in the future.... Antony on the Beat (AOB) is surely one to keep an eye on!
Coming from the Myish camp, the one and only Incisive has teamed up with some of his brothers from Ghana Trigmatic and Kesse to bring you a free afrobeat download...
I'm a fan of the original and tend to find myself singing along subconsciously every time I hear it, but can someone tell me why this remix is UNOFFICIAL!!??
IT'S BAAAAAADDD!!!!!
Have a listen and let me know if you agree with me or not......
Antony on the Beat is someone that definitely
needs to be kept an eye/ear on!!!
Son of William Vol.1 shows that the artist named Danso holds a large amount of talent, able to generate an eclectic flow over various genres. Being a producer as well as an artist, something tells me there is something special about Danso. If caught sleeping, there seems to be serious danger that one could miss out!!
Favourite tracks: 8 - Showtime 10 - Good To Me 12 - Tell Me 14 - Ghetto
Easy listening, suitable to be played around friends, children, parents and grandparents..... In addition, good music!!! Takes me back to the days when I was young, and they say people don't make music like that anymore.....
If you've never heard of Selah, it's time to check her out!!!
Look out for her upcoming single titled 'Out My House' featuring Donaeo, which is already receiving air play on mainstream and underground radio stations.
We are currently awaiting the video, however have a look behind the scenes.....
