New Video: Leave It Yeah (Remix)

Lethal Bizzle ft Emmanuel Frimpong, Frisco, Scrufizzer, JME, 2Face & Flowdan (Produced by Paperbwoy)

Directed by Carly Cussen

Creative Remixes

I've admittedly been slacking on the blogging recently, but that never means my ear isn't still firmly against the ground with eyes wide open on the look out for something fresh and new... While I've apparently been lurking in the shadows, there have been some remixes that I'm appreciating for the twist of creativity that has been used with them, showing a strong flare of innovation for both pieces of work I am referring to...

First exhibit comes from within the My-ish camp by Incisive. Using Wretch 32's previous top 10 hit single Traktor, Incisive & Shakka have twisted it around and made it into a song they can call their own.

Have a listen...

Another exerting her abilities is songstress A.L. who has definitely gone from strength to strength throughout 2011 to leave a mark that won't be easily forgotten. Taking I'm A Boss from US Hip-Hop superstars Meek Mill and Rick Ross, the track has been flipped on it's head to give it a more easy listening jazz aura.

Check it out...

Any aspiring musicians definitely need to take note from these two... What I mean by that is just about anybody can get a backing track and write quirky new lyrics, but a true musician is able to take a great composition and make it their own without destroying the memory of the original.... Salutes!

New Video: Tell Me (Remix)

A.L. feat Mercston, Stutta & Ghetts

A.L. has returned once again with the remix video for her track 'Tell Me' produced by Footsteps. Coming with a whole new raw edge, Mercston, Stutta and Ghetts have joined her on the track giving it a grime flavour....

Tell Me is due for release on 1st December 2011 via iTunes

New Music: Earthquake Remix

Labrinth is currently running a competition for producers to remix his latest single Earthquake....

This is one from Delerious that I like quite a bit!

New Music: Don't Know Why Remix

SoundGirl Vs Antony On The Beat

I'm a fan of the original and tend to find myself singing along subconsciously every time I hear it, but can someone tell me why this remix is UNOFFICIAL!!??

IT'S BAAAAAADDD!!!!!

Have a listen and let me know if you agree with me or not......

Antony on the Beat is someone that definitely
needs to be kept an eye/ear on!!!

New Music: Moment For Life (UK Remix)

Does this video make you remember a night or two (maybe more) when you're in a zone and you could really hold that moment for life??

Personally I think it holds a hint of cheese BUT I also have to admit that I'm intrigued to see what else is going to come out from the Splurge Boys camp in future....

>>Watching that space<<

New Music: Broken Record (Funky Remix)

I didn't think this song could be adapted in a way that I could like it more than the original but I came across this Funky remix from Geeneus that has shown me just how wrong I can be!!

There isn't anything else to do when hearing this track than to close your eyes, screw up your face, and let the music control you..... Listen to the build up on the bridge......

SWAAAAAAYING!!!!

New Music: Out My House (Dubstep Remix)

Just been sent this dubstep remix of the earlier featured Selah ft Donaeo - Out My House.....

I really like it, once again it's refreshing to hear a dubstep take that doesn't mimic the previous successful sounds, clearly a true personal adaptation to introduce the already popular funky track to a new genre. At first I was worried that once Donaeo entered the track would get messy, my anxiety diminished when hearing that the producer was eloquent enough to let Donaeo's voice be the power to connect both sides of the track.

The producer behind the remix, 22 year old Antony on the Beat promises to give us much more to look out for.... If you'd like to do so, check out his Facebook and Twitter!

Pow 2011 Official Video

Lethal B featuring JME, Wiley, Face, Chipmunk, P Money, Ghetts & Kano.

The track highly anticipated and going up against Tinchy Stryder's Game Over to be favoured within the grime scene, collaborates a number of artist to revive the classic original from Lethal Bizzle released in 2004. The video, directed by Carly Cussen, was also highly anticipated and reached over 50,000 YouTube views within 2 days.

Wiley's lack of attendace has been noted once again and not appreciated amongst the ranks..... But most are loving the video and track, whilst some feel that the classic should've been left alone. Released for download in February 2011, the figures will speak for themselves.

Start It Up Remix

Lloyd Banks feat. Sway, Giggs, Kanye, Swiss Beats & Ryan Leslie

Came across this one a few weeks back. With the common thing to be to do a remix including a US/UK collabo I don't think this will be the last one. I haven't heard this track being played much however, maybe the idea has become rather saturated? Or maybe it just hasn't been heard enough? I can see this one being played in the clubs while the DJs do their montages though.....

Not heard it? Check it out....

Hold Yuh - UK Funky Remix

A man who is doing serious things for the Dancehall scene at present.... It's Gyptian with the track that took over the airwaves Hold Yuh. But it's another official remix coming out of the FunkyStepz camp and I'm totally loving it!!!!

Funky and Bashment have been mixed a few times already, but not always done with success. Already heard this remix being played on the airwaves and I surely wouldn't complain if I heard it a bit more.

Have a listen.....

New Video: Game Over - Female Takeover Remix

Wasn't a big fan of this remix as I felt there were a few names that could've been put into the pot instead of some that were featured but one thing that cannot be denied is the unity these females have shown. Something I feel is missing majorly from the music scene at the moment so whatever feelings may be about the track content, these females held it down for one another.

Major Props for that!!!!

Slang Like This Remix

It's been floating around for a while but it's a track that cannot be ignored.... The original was posted as a track that I absolutely loved. The remix which includes Newham Generals & Blacks gives the track a breath of fresh air that gives it a whole new edge.

Think Ghetts would've sat nicely on this track to give it that ultimate remix kick but we can't have it all.....

Game Over Remix

Tinchy Stryder feat. Ghetts, Slix, Griminal, Dot Rotten, Fuda Guy,
Wretch 32, Roachee & Maxsta

When the original dropped there was more than enough opinion flying around about who had been featured and who should’ve or shouldn’t have. The original is a great track commercially and Tinchy Stryder has done something quite remarkable as to take the criticisms that were thrown at him and deliver what has been requested. Pleasing the underground circuit in the process. I wonder if those who got mouthy upon the original release are wishing they had been a little more reserved.

Personally, whilst the original caused a great level of jumping excitement within, the remix had me stunned… Go Figure!
